  • The government is trying to put the blame on opposition politicians for the underworld and drug trafficking

Coming up with fresh criticism on the programme launched by the government to control the underworld and to eradicate drugs from Sri Lanka, the opposition said it has become a mere political exercise.   SLPP MP Chanaka Madugoda speaking to media said that the government is trying to put the blame on opposition politicians for the underworld and drug trafficking  where Sri Lanka is concerned. “ People of this country have different political opinions. They believe in various political parties. However the government seemed to be undermining this right of the people by trying to blame opposition politicians for the underworld and drug trafficking.
Former MP Premnath Dolawatta said “the people of this country must be banging their heads on the wall for voting this government into power. “ The present government appears to be pampering wrong doers. They should not do it but should rethink about how they are to vote next time,”
