Cabinet approves National Policy on Garbage Management

The Cabinet has approved a proposal made by President Maithripala Sirisena to implement the drafted National Policy on Garbage Management.  

The proposal was presented by the President in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment to implement the drafted National Policy on Garbage Management. The proposal also sought approval to prepare required legal framework and regulations for a successful implementation of the policy.
