34 SPs promoted as SSPs

Thirty-four Superintendents of Police (SP) have been promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Police Spokesman SP Jaliya Senaratne said.

He said the promotions were made as per  the approval of the National Police Commission (NPC) and the Election Commission with effect from May 9.   Accordingly, SPs  attached to the Highway Road Division, Special Bureau, Colombo Fraud Investigation Division, Colombo Crimes Division, Ministerial Security Division, Embassy Security Division, Prime Minister’s Security Division and several other divisions were promoted.
