Medical Equipment Donation by China Friendship Association

China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development, Beijing has generously donated Rs. 4 million to assist hospitals affected by Tropical Cyclone Ditwah, according  to Jinith de Silva,  president of the Sri Lanka China society. 
Using these funds, The society had selected the following areas for the distribution of medical equipment:
1. Nuwara Eliya District – with the assistance of the Regional Director of Health Services Office, Nuwara Eliya.
2. Doluwa Area, Kandy District – with the assistance of the Regional Director of Health Services Office, Kandy.
3. Manampitiya Hospital – Polonnaruwa District.
4. Base Hospital, Kurunegala.
