Water released in Polgolla

The water from the Polgolla diversion dam in Kandy was released this morning to facilitate essential maintenance work. Technicians were observed inspecting the spill gates. As a result of the water release, the water supply to several areas in Kandy was suspended for 65 hours starting at 1 a.m. today. Pix by Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama
