SL-US to make joint statement on reciprocal tariffs: President

Claiming that Sri Lanka has made progress regarding the US reciprocal tariffs, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said Sri Lanka and the USA would make a joint statement shortly.
Addressing an election rally in Ratnapura yesterday, he said that a Sri Lankan delegation that is currently visiting the USA had fruitful discussions on Monday (22). 
The Sri Lankan delegation left for the USA to hold the discussions with the International Monetary Fund, on the Extended Fund Facility programme and also to have discussions with the US government on the recent reciprocal tariffs imposed on the Sri Lankan exports to the US.
