PIM attends IIM Bangalore programme

• Focuses on a world-class learning experience

The faculty of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) underwent a special staff development

programme at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore), India. 

It was conducted as part of the PIM’s continuous professional development initiative. 

The programme included a comprehensive exploration of the contemporary teaching and learning practices in the ever-changing high-tech and modern postgraduate and higher education sphere. It was held over two days and the participants resided at IIM Bangalore for the period of the programme.

As per PIM Director Dr. Asanga Ranasinghe, this is part of the PIM’s commitment to make the best even better and its continuing focus on trying to become the business school for the new world. 

Reputed professors from IIM Bangalore spearheaded the programme with interactive learning experiences in areas such as modern pedagogies in teaching, case-based teaching, new developments in executive education and leadership development and a plethora of other key topics.

The PIM, the business school of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, is the only South Asian Quality Standard-accredited institution in Sri Lanka.
