Sri Pada season begins

The annual Sri Pada pilgrimage season commenced today with Uduvap Poya. It will end on Vesak Poya or full moon day of May, next year. Buddhists climb up the mountain peak to pay homage to Sri Pada or the Buddha’s footprint.
