PM lights oil lamps in memory of tsunami victims

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa lit oil lamps at Temple Trees in memory of the people who perished in the tsunami disaster that hit the coastal belt of Sri Lanka 17 years ago on this day. Second Lady Shiranti Rajapaksa also joined the event. Before that, he, along with others, observed a two -minute silence between 9.25 am and 9.27 am- the time of the tragedy.
