37-year-old man shot dead in Kotawehera

A 37-year-old man was shot dead at Sirisethgama in Kotawehera short while ago, Police said.

The body, of the victim identified as Janaka Priyantha, was found by his family on the road leading to his home.

Kotawehera Police have arrested a 43-year-old man from the area on suspicion and seized his pistol, which the police suspect to have been used in the killing. Investigations have revealed that the motive behind the killing might have been a dispute relating to a financial transaction. Kotawehera Police are conducting further investigations.
