UPFA to select candidates today

The ruling United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) will today select candidates for the elections to the remaining 23 local councils, UPFA General Secretary and Minister Susil Premajayantha said yesterday.

He told the Tamil Mirror the party’s mayoral candidates would also be selected. Mr. Premajayantha said nomination papers will be signed on August 19. (RA)
