Train engine driver assaulted

A tense situation reported at the Polgahawela railway station when a driver of a Colombo bound train from Mahawa was assaulted allegedly by passengers.

However the Railway Control room said that the situation was brought under control and train services are not affected. Currently railway workers are conducting a work to rule campaign.
