A car suspected to have been used to transport the armed men who opened fire at the supporters of Minister Ravi Karunanayake was found abandoned near the Bloemendhal flats, police said.

Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekara said magazines of a T-56 weapon were also found inside the car.

He said no one was arrested so far and that investigations had been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). (LSP)
