A woman dies of burn injuries

A woman had died of serious burn injuries early this morning at Kudamaduwa in Piliyandala, Police said.

Residents of the area said she was an employee of a night club.

They said at about 1.30 this morning they saw her at the well with a man pouring water to save her from fire but the latter disappeared after the incident.
Police said body will be removed for postmortem examination after the preliminary magisterial inquiry. (Dayaratne Pathirana)
