Woman arrested with forged US visa

A 64-year-old woman was arrested yesterday for attempting to flee to America with a forged US visa, the police said.

They said the woman from Battaramulla was arrested by the officers attached to the police Crime Investigations department for possessing a forged US visa.

She was released on bail with two sureties of Rs.500,000 each after being produced at Negombo Magistrate court yesterday. 

The case is to be called again on March 29.
