Man killed in train-three-wheeler collision

Colombo, June 10 (Daily Mirror) - A three-wheeler driver was killed after being hit by an express train, travelling from Maradana to Hikkaduwa, at the Ganegama railway crossing in Aluthgama this evening.

The three-wheeler involved in the collision had been dragged along with the train for a distance of over 100 metres.

The accident occurred when the three-wheeler attempted to cross the railway tracks while the train signals were active at the railway crossing where no gatekeeper is stationed.
