Weekend power cut schedule announced

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has granted permission for power shedding requested for the weekend by Ceylon Electricity Board.

Accordingly, one hour and 30 minute-power cut between 10.00 am to 4.00 pm and one hour and 30 minute power cut from 4.00 pm to 10.00 pm will be imposed for areas P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W while two hour and 30 minute-power cut between 8.30 am to 6.00 pm and one hour between 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm for A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L areas.

For Sunday (20), one hour power cut from 4.30 am to 9.30 pm will come into effect for P, Q, R, S, T, U, V and W while two-hour power cut from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and one-hour and 15 minute from 5.00pm to 10.00 pm for other category. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
