Wasantha Senanayake expelled from UNP

UNP has decided to expel State Minister Wasantha Senanayake from the party, Party General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said today.

Mr. Kariyawasam told Daily Mirror that action will be taken to remove his state ministerial portfolio as well.

State Minister Senanayake had earlier announced that he will not support the presidential candidate of the party, Sajith Premadasa. (Yohan Perera)
