Two students drown in Kelani River

Two nineteen-year-old students drowned while bathing in the Kelani River at Ranwala in Kirindiwela yesterday evening, Police said.

They said the two students went missing when a group of students at a school in Weliweriya were bathing in the river.

Search operations were underway by the Police and the Navy with the assistance of residents to locate the missing students.
