Sri Lanka Police to get Rs. 300 Mn worth of vehicles

Colombo, Dec 19 (Daily Mirror) - Cabinet approval was granted to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Sri Lanka to acquire vehicles for the Sri Lanka Police under an Indian grant.

Cabinet spokesman Nalinda Jayatissa said that the Indian government has agreed to provide a grant of SLR 300 million for the procurement of vehicles for the Sri Lanka Police.

The proposal was submitted to the Cabinet by the Minister of Public Security.
