Confiscated narcotics to be destroyed in Puttalam tomorrow

Colombo, June 26 (Daily Mirror) - A quantity of confiscated narcotics is scheduled to be destroyed tomorrow morning (June 27) at the incinerator facility located at Lactowatta in Wanathavilluwa, Puttalam.

The narcotics include items seized by the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) during various raids, for which legal proceedings have been completed at the Negombo Magistrate’s Court.

The consignment also includes narcotics held by the Government Analyst’s Department, which courts across the country have ordered to be destroyed after the conclusion of related cases.

The stock scheduled for destruction includes 13 kg and 22 g of ice (methamphetamine), 39 kg and 710 g of kush, 2 kg and 30 g of cocaine, 4 kg and 136 g of cannabis and hashish, 1 kg and 200 g of mandi, 156 g of heroin, and 26,262 narcotic pills.
