Sri Lanka Cricket donates Rs. 300 million to ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund’

Colombo, Dec. 4 (Daily Mirror) - Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has donated Rs. 300 million to the government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund to aid ongoing relief and reconstruction efforts following Cyclone Ditwah.
The decision was made under the direction of SLC President Shammi Silva and the Executive Committee, who said the contribution reflects the Board’s responsibility as the governing body of a sport deeply valued by the nation.

SLC stated that the funds will assist the government in providing emergency relief to families affected by the cyclone and in restoring essential public services in impacted areas.

The Board further reaffirmed its commitment to support the country whenever necessary, emphasising that Sri Lanka Cricket stands ready to contribute to national recovery and development.
