Sinopec, LIOC raise fuel prices following CPC revision

Colombo, March 22 (Daily Mirror) - Fuel prices across multiple suppliers were increased following the latest revision by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), which came into effect from midnight on March 21.

Sinopec announced significant price hikes across its fuel categories. The price of a litre of Octane 95 petrol has been increased by Rs. 122 to Rs. 487, while Super Diesel has risen sharply by Rs. 219 to Rs. 572 per litre. Octane 92 petrol has been increased by Rs. 81 to Rs. 398, and Auto Diesel by Rs. 79 to Rs. 382 per litre.

Meanwhile, Lanka IOC (LIOC) has also raised its fuel prices in line with the CPC revision.

Earlier, the CPC increased the price of Lanka White Diesel by Rs. 79 to Rs. 382 per litre, and Super Diesel by Rs. 90 to Rs. 443. Octane 95 petrol was raised by Rs. 90 to Rs. 455, while Octane 92 petrol increased by Rs. 81 to Rs. 398 per litre.

In addition, the price of Lanka Kerosene was increased by Rs. 60, bringing the new price to Rs. 255 per litre.
