Salaries, allowances of all NPP MPS, Ministers credited to single account: Sunil Watagala

Colombo, January 20 (Daily Mirror)- The salaries and allowances of all MPs and Ministers of the NPP government are credited to a single account as in the past, Deputy Minister of Public Security Sunil Watagala said today.

He told reporters that the NPP will continue the practice which was started from Nihal Galappatti. 

"The President is aslo doing the same," he added.

The Deputy Minister said all money is credited to an account in Borella and added that it is used for public service. 

"We get more opportunities to work for the people through this fund," he said.

When asked about reports on importing vehicles for MPs, he said no vehicles will be imported specially for MPs.

"We have created a conducive enviroment for the MPs to work for the people," he said.
