STF nabs suspect with Ice worth over Rs. 20 million

A 30-year old suspect has been arrested with  1.6 kg of Crystal Methamphetamine (Ice) by the Police Special Task Force (STF) during a raid in Peliyagoda.

The STF said that the street value of the seized narcotics is believed to be in the range of Rs. 20 million.

The raid was carried out by STF special unit following the intelligence alert to the STF.

The suspect was riding on a motorcycle when he was caught along the Wanawasala Road in Wattala.

The suspect, a resident of Grandpass, was handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau along with the narcotics.(DSB)
