SLFP decides to expel Fowzie

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to expel its MP A. H. M. Fowzie from the party, SLFP Spokesman and MP Weerakumara Dissanayake said today.

He said a disciplinary committee appointed by the party and comprising of lawyers probed the matter of MP Fowzie supporting the United National Party (UNP).

“This committee came to a conclusion that MP Fowzie should be removed from the party and we will convey this to Parliament Secretary General tomorrow,” he said.
