Parliament sessions end abruptly amid tense situation

Colombo, June 18 (Daily Mirror) - Parliament sessions came to an abrupt end today as MP Ajith P. Perera, who was to move an adjournment debate on the Iran-Israel conflict was absent. 

The House was adjourned after MP Nizam Kariyappar began to move the motion. 

Deputy Speaker Rizvi Sally adjourned the House when Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake and Minister Vijitha Hearth pointed out that a motion cannot be moved by a member on behalf of another.
