Parcel with mobile phones thrown into Boossa Prison premises

Colombo,June 8 (Daily Mirror)- Boossa Prison authorities recovered a parcel containing eight mobile phones that had been thrown into the prison premises early this morning.

Prison Commissioner Jagath Weerasinghe said officers of the Police Special Task Force (STF), while on duty, observed an object being thrown into the prison compound.

Following a search operation, prison officers discovered a black parcel near the Special Unit section of the prison. Upon inspection, it was found to contain eight mobile phones, which were taken into custody.

Boossa Prison have launched further investigations into the incident.
