PUCSL approves lesser than 5 hour powercut tomorrow The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) today approved the power shedding for tomorrow.

The PUCSL directed the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) to reduce the powercuts to below 5 hours.

Accordingly, three or four hours in the day time and half-an-hour in the night before 10.00 pm and to spread over two time slots for consumer convenience, the PUCSL said.

However, a seven hour power cut requested by the CEB was not approved by the PUCSL. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
