No diesel, no buses on Monday, Tuesday, leave home early: Gemunu

Due to the prevailing diesel shortage in the country, the Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association (LPBOA) today requested the people to board the available buses to travel to their villages in view to celebrate the New Year festival.

While addressing the media, LPBOA Chairman Gemunu Wijerathne said that they would not be able to operate buses on Monday (11) and Tuesday (12), if the adequate fuel is not supplied.

Private bus industry in the country has collapsed during the past few days. Therefore, there is no possibility of operating long-distance buses. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
