Night mail trains on Upcountry Line cancelled

In light of the severe weather conditions, the Railway Department has announced the cancellation of all night mail train services on the Upcountry railway line for today.

Accordingly, tonight’s night mail trains scheduled to depart from Colombo Fort to Badulla and from Badulla to Colombo Fort will not run.

The decision follows reports of multiple weather-related incidents along the upcountry line, which have disrupted operations and raised safety concerns.
