Man nabbed with Rs.120mn worth gold in Jaffna bound bus

A 38-year-old suspect was arrested while transporting over 6 kg of gold worth Rs. 120 million in a bus plying to Jaffna from Colombo, police said.

The suspect was arrested on a tip off recieved by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) in Armour Street Colombo.

The suspect was a resident of Wellampitiya. It was revealed that the gold imported from Dubai was set to be smuggled to India by sea from Jaffna.
