Anuradhapura, Jan 21 (Daily Mirror) - Jaffna District MP Archchuna Ramanathan was reportedly involved in an altercation with a group of police officers on traffic duty in the Rambewa area of Anuradhapura.

The incident occurred when the MP was en route to Colombo for Parliament sitting yesterday.

It was reported that the police stopped the MP's vehicle for driving in a manner that obstructed other traffic while using his VIP lights.

As a result, the MP had an argument with the police officers on duty, during which the police officers requested the MP's identity card.

However, the MP allegedly refused to comply and behaved in a disruptive manner.
