Inter-provincial movement restrictions remain unchanged for another 14 days

While issuing an updated notice on relaxation of existing travel restrictions, the inter-provincial movement restrictions will remain unchanged for another 14 days, Director-General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena said.

He said the existing restrictions will be further relaxed with effect from today (10).

He also emphasized that the level of permitted functions can be subjected to amendment depending on changes to the epidemiological situation.

However, the public was urged to strictly comply with the guidelines issued for permitted levels of functions.

All government and private organisations are urged to be responsible to ensure their functions are abided with New Normalcy, the updated health notice added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
