Imported milkpowder prices increased

The Milk Powder Importers’ Association has decided to increase the price of imported milk powder with effect.

They said the decision was taken due to the increase in prices in the world market during the past three months.

Accordingly, the price of a 1 kg packet of imported milk powder, which was at Rs. 1,350, will be increased by Rs. 600, and the new selling price will be Rs. 1,945.

The 400g packet, which was at Rs. 540, will be increased by Rs. 250, and the new selling price will be Rs. 790, the association said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
