Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando arrives at CID

Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando who was at the centre of controversy after making some remarks on Easter Sunday suicide attacks, arrived at the CID to give a statement, a short while ago.

Head of Social Relations unit of Archdiocese of Colombo Rev. Fr. Jude Crishantha yesterday said Fr. Fernando would be going to give a statement to the CID today.

  Fr. Fernando who filed a fundamental rights petition before Supreme Court calling for an injunction against his arrest told courts that he is willing give a statement to CID.

Earlier he was asked to come to CID after State Intelligence Chief Suresh Sally lodged a complaint. Sally lodged a complaint after Fr. Fernando made some allegation against him during a webinar. (Yohan Perera)
