Fire destroys spare parts shop in Kottawa

A fire broke out at a vehicle spare parts shop in Kottawa a short while ago, the Police said.

The fire had erupted inside a warehouse, where spare parts were stored. However, the fire had been successfully doused with the support of fire fighters and residents. Several fire trucks were also deployed to douse the fire.

The Police said that no one had been injured due to fire, however property damages were reported.
They said the cause for the fire is yet to be known. Kottawa Police is conducting further investigations. (Thilanka Kanakarathna)
