EC declares Saman Ratnapriya as MP

The National Election Commission has issued an Extraordinary Gazette notification declaring Saman Rathnapriya as a Member of Parliament to fill in the vacant position created by the resignation of parliamentarian Jayampathi Wickramaratne.

Saman Ratnapriya’s name was informed to the Election Commission by UNP's General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

He will be sworn in as a Member of Parliament on February 5, 2020
