Dr. Jasinghe elected as Bureau Chair of Environment Authorities

Environment Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe has been elected as the chair of the Bureau of Environment authorities for one year.

The selection was made at the 4th Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific in Suwon City in South Korea. 

Dr. Jasinghe will represent the Asia – Pacific region as the Bureau chair of Environment Authorities at the forthcoming 5th General Assembly of United Nations Environment Programme (UNEA-05) to be held in February 2022. 

This forum is attended by environment ministers and senior officials from 47 Asia-Pacific countries. Dr. Jasinghe elected as the Bureau chair of the Environment Authorities. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
