Further hearing into Gotabaya’s writ petition fixed for July 6

Colombo, June 24 (Daily Mirror) - Further hearing into the writ petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa seeking an order preventing his arrest in connection with the ongoing investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks was today fixed for July 6 by the Court of Appeal.

When the application was taken up before the Court of Appeal two-judge bench comprising Justice (President) Rohantha Abeysuriya and Justice Sarath Dissanayake, President’s Counsel Romesh de Silva, appearing for the former President, resumed his oral submissions.
