Diesel shortage to hit the market, do not queue

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has urged people not to panic as a diesel shortage is expected to hit the market tomorrow and day after.

According to CEYPETCO Chairman, a ship carrying 37,500 metric tonnes of diesel has been unable to unload today as planned.

Therefore the CEYPETCO has requested the public not to queue up at filling stations for diesel on March 30 and 31.

However, diesel will be supplied to essential services.
