Developments in Arjuna Mahendran’s extradition: Sabry

There is a new development with regard to the extradition of former Central Bank Governor Arjun Mahendran who is wanted for the Bond Scam, Minister of Justice Ali Sabry told Parliament yesterday.

I think there is a development with regard to the extradition of Mahendran I have requested the Attorney general to submit information on the issue

Responding to a question raised by Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella in the House the Minister said there were new developments in the matter.

“I think there is a development with regard to the extradition of Mahendran. I have requested the Attorney general to submit information on the issue,” the Minister said.

The Minister said he will make a statement to Parliament when he receives information from the Attorney General. (YOHAN PERERA AND AJITH SIRIWARDANA)
