Decision on granting leave for FR petitions against elections date tomorrow

The decision on whether to grant leave for the Fundamental Rights petitions filed challenging the General Elections date, to be announced by the Supreme Court at 3pm tomorrow.

The consideration of the FR petitions filed against the election date commenced in the Supreme Court for the 10th day today.

The Supreme Court appointed a five-judge bench, led by the Chief Justice to hear the Fundamental Rights petitions filed challenging the dissolution of Parliament and fixing the General Elections date for June 20. (Yoshitha Perera)
