Clarification

With reference to the Daily Mirror lead story dated 12th November 2025 titled “Rs.200 allowance for estate workers – President’s Budgetary Proposal deemed unlawful - CoPF” the Parliament Secretariat has sent the following clarification.  

“Accordingly, we wish to bring to your attention that the Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) has not made any decision that the said Rs. 200 allowance for estate workers is unlawful,” the statement said.
