Cabinets approves to table IMF report in Parliament

The Cabinet has approved the proposal submitted by Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa to present the International Monetary Fund (IMF) report on Sri Lanka to Parliament.

The IMF released its Article IV consultation report on Sri Lanka on March 25 which highlights that the island nation faces “solvency” issues because of risks stemming from unsustainable debt levels that jeopardize the country’s economy.
