Cabinet receives recommendations to address salary anomalies in state universities

Recommendations were presented to the Cabinet to resolve the salary anomalies of the non-academic staff in state universities, the Education Ministry said.

They said a joint decision was announced following a discussion held with the unions of university non-academic staff, Higher Education Ministry officials and Treasury officials.

Colombo, Feb 25 (Daily Mirror) - They decided to resolve the salary disparity to provide 92% instead of the salary disparity that existed since 2016, which was 107% for the non-academic staff of state universities.

Accordingly, the Ministry expects to take a policy decision on the Cabinet Memorandum, and the Ministry will act accordingly after receiving the relevant Cabinet decisions in the near future.
