AG directs Acting IGP to arrest Kurunegala Mayor over Buwaneka monument

The Attorney General today directed the Acting IGP to obtain warrant and arrest and produce Kurunegala Mayor, Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Engineer and two others over the destruction of an ancient monument known as Buwaneka Hotel in Kurunegala on charges under the Antiquities Ordinance and Public Property Act, AG’s Coordinating Officer said.
