400,000 more families to receive Aswesuma benefits from June: President

Colombo, April 17 (Daily Mirror) - Steps will be taken to provide Aswesuma benefits to 400,000 new families from June this year, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

He told an election rally in Mannar that the government has also increased the Aswesuma allowance from the 2025 budget.

The President said the government has taken steps to ensure the welfare of the people where salaries of government servants were increased and school children were provided with cash allowance to purchase their requirements.
