A wide selection of imported Nishikigoi and high quality locally bred Koi were sold at reasonable prices by CKS members including Trade members: Nishikigoi LK, Top Koi, Water Kingdom & Nishikigoi Fish Farm.

The two day event was opened with a simple lighting of an oil lamp, by Mr. Ananda Pathirana. Mr. Pathirana has been involved with Koi and ornamental fish for over 50 years in Sri Lanka. A large public turnout was witnessed with most people commenting that they were not aware of such variety of Koi available in the country.

Ceylon Koi Society (CKS) was formed by a handful of Koi hobbyists/enthusiasts in 2022. The members consist of Residents / Non-Residents, Trade and Students.  Ceylon Koi Society promotes the enjoyment and better understanding of Koi and the hobby while enlarging the hobby of koi keeping, breeding, appreciating, exhibiting, and educating the public on the benefits of keeping Koi and constantly improving methods of providing Koi with safe and healthy environments.

It’s vision is to be a Koi Society that will be recognized as a consistent contributor to the hobby in the county, region and beyond.
