He is no longer the usual stormy petrel!

The Telephone Chief had recently said in public in an obvious message to government high-ups: “ Hand over the government to us! We know the art of governance!”  

Many pals of a vociferous Diyawanna politico of the Telephone party known to be a fire-breathing  radical have now begun advising the latter to cease being excoriating in speech and behavior for he is not getting any support from his party colleagues. “ Can’t you understand that your cries are a lone voice in the wilderness,” they would tell this Diyawanna politico.

The politico now seems to have accepted the advice of his buddies, they say.

As of late, the politico has decided to concentrate only on struggles for the rights of the people and avoid getting involved in internecine feuds or in anti-government campaigns, they say.
